I deeply hope the tick I was hosting on my leg for last 2 days, which I later pulled out with it's head remaining in my flesh forming a red circle around the bite, was not infected with one of the very serious viruses - these little suckers can carry around.

Flat tire

Ljubljana is a very nice city, I am happy to have moved here. In general city environment is more suitable for me over a country side.

But there is one problem with Ljubljana - parking. Today I found 2 flat tires on my car in front of work place. I guess that sign "Only for employees" stands there with a reason, but still, come on, couldn't they just give me a note first?! First I was quite indifferent about it, but when I realized there is nowhere to get a little tiny tool to screw the inner part of the tube valve back in, after taking the wheel to gasoline station, getting my hands black dirty and all - I wanted to shoot a guy who did it.

Tomorrow next week I'm going to work by bicycle!

While thinking I usually write down some stuff on a piece of paper, nonsense really... So I write HEY JUDE with capital letters, out of no reason, I don't even like the song much or anything...when I suddenly click a link to some video from my RSS reader. After video ends YouTube suggests you some videos you could watch next and it offers me one titled HEY JUDE. It freaked me out :)

SiMobil

SMS service to some of the foreign countries still doesn't work. They developed so many new services like video call and I don't know what else, but when you try to send good old plain text sms it fails.

So, anybody concerned, it's not me, it's the mobile carrier... :)

GPS

I bought a GPS device recently and I am more than happy to own this thing. Since the prices for this Garmin are quite low these days, it is completely worth to buy it - specially for someone like me who is not so great with directions. You just enter the address and it tells you exactly where to drive, impossible to miss. What a time/gasoline/nerve saver. Amazing...

Moving to Ljubljana

Finding an apartment in Ljubljana is not an easy task, since demand is much higher than the offer. The fact also results in very high prices. For example 500€ rent is barely enough of a monthly rent for a nice, new, 1 room apartment of size about 40-45m2. That's without expenses, of course. If you're buying, you better have 100.000€ on your account, if you want something close to decent (of course luxury starts at 300.000€..).

Today on 25.2.2008 is the day of grief in Slovenia. Two days ago we have lost a man, who I respected very much and whose loss saddened me very much . Ex president, who has baked his own bread, a politician who has done a lot for our little nation, a man who I always hoped will win the elections, because I always wanted him as my president, and he always did. He will be remembered for a lot of good things he has achieved, also for his struggle in last years - to spread positive energy, modesty, good and peace.
